Used 2004 Honda Element EX AWD - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... for sale in Bozeman, MT

2004 Honda Element EX AWD (All Wheel Drive) with Manual Transmission.

We bought this car about 2-1/2 years ago with about 143,000 miles on it. It now has about 155,000.

Like most Element owners, we unashamedly LOVE this car….we love it so much that we recently bought one that is a year newer with 40,000 less miles…..which is the only reason we are parting with this one.

This car has been flawlessly reliable. It is excellent in the snow and with studded tires (not included), makes the winter trip up to Hyalite completely un-dramatic. It has had the oil changed regularly (including just recently) and there is no reason I know of not to drive it across country tomorrow.

The car is in Bozeman and test drives are available with a valid license and full asking price in cash.

As you can imagine with any 16 year old car, there are some things that give the car some character.

1) The hood has a clear plastic bra on it. The bra is completely spider web cracked, but not peeling. It was there when we bought the car and we chose not to try to remove it.

3) Although we don’t know much about its prior life, it did not smell like a smoker’s car when we bought it and we definitely have never smoked in it….but, we did use this as the dog car. We have large dog(s) that regularly rode in the car. We have done a decent cleaning, but in case you are allergic to dog hair, we figured you should know. The nice part of this car is that since there is very little fabric in the interior, it cleans pretty easily.

4) It has an aftermarket radio in it. We did not use it all that often. I recently acquired a stock radio (with the matching code card) that comes with the car.

5) To our knowledge, the car has never been in an accident, but there is a fair amount of exterior character. In addition to the bra mentioned above, there are two small sections of clear coat on the rear hatch that are peeling. It was this way when we bought it and has not gotten any bigger while we have owned the car. Other character includes scratches and two small dings. One on the hood (hail?) and one on the rear bumper. All of the exterior character was there when we bought the car and none of it has rust or peeling or cracked paint.

If you are looking for a perfect element, this is probably not the car for you….but if you are looking for a loved and used, but not abused very reliable one, this could be right up your alley. Keep in mind that low mileage perfect condition elements are currently going for at least 12-15k.
