Selling because 1) I bought a new truck and 2) I don’t want to do or pay for the repairs the truck needs, as outlined below
My asking price : $2,999
KKB private party price - $4,141 - 6,826. This value for a truck of a similar model in 'average' condition. I would consider this truck’s condition to be ‘poor’ for the following reasons:
- Camber on front suspension needs adjusted. As it stands right now the front tires are negatively cambered. Estimated price to fix: $200
- Needs new tires mounted up front because of negative camber. I have two brand new matching tires. These come with the truck. Estimated price to install new tires: $100
- Needs drive shaft from transfer case to front axle installed (until then truck is 2wd only). Estimated price to fix: +$500 (parts) + labor. This was caused by the linkage to the 4WD shifter hitting the mount for the drive shaft while traveling down the interstate. This punched a hole in the top of the transfer case.
- Has broken leaf spring on left side. Needs either 1 leaf spring removed from right side or 1 new spring installed on left side. Estimated price to fix: ~$800
Other issues with the truck that I can remember
- Only has 1 fog light
- Needs a high beam fuse
- Ripped front driver’s seat
- Curved attachment for jack kit has broken-off end
- Definitely needs an oil and filter change
- Rear differential leaks
- Interior needs detailed
All that said, the truck runs and has a beastly engine still. If you need to do some trick driving, say to merge onto the interstate, it’s still got the acceleration to do it.
