These 2000-2005 5.3 liter Yukon/Suburbans can run for 300-400,000 miles all the time. I bought it at 200k and have done all regular maintenance with no problems:
Oil and lube every 3-4,000 miles
Transmission, front and rear differential flush about 10,000 miles ago.
New brakes last year
New front wheel bearings last year
Replaced the whole speedometer console.
Just put in a new windshield
Back seats fold down to haul 4x8 sheets of plywood.
Have the back row seats as well not pictured
Tires are in decent shape. I have a set of like new 1 season Blizzak snow tires with separate rims that I would sell for an additional $600.
Cons:
• Has several small dents and scratches, torn and duct taped driver seat, and dirty carpet throughout. Rear wiper does not work.
• The only thing it could use, though not required to roll, is some new shocks/suspension.
• Has an electrical code P0343 that came up to replace camshaft position sensor. Just replaced that but still showing up, likely just a wiring short. Does not affect running. Occasionally has a exhaust sensor code P0134. Does not affect running.
A solid and cheap 4x4 / AWD to tow, haul and work. These are basically just 1/2 ton trucks with a built in topper. Has been very reliable and never let us down. Lots of road trips, and just towed a camper for 3,000 miles of family road trips this summer. Runs and drives well. Starts up first or second time, every time. Would not hesitate to hop in and take a road trip now.
