If you know about these, you know this is the one you want. 6-speed sequential manual transmission (SMT) is fun and easy. Think of it as a 6-speed manual with an automatic clutch. Works great! MR2s with the SMT also got leather and cruise control. Those without SMT did not get these important upgrades from the factory.
It is all original except for a stereo upgrade. I installed a touch screen unit that is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. It works great and sounds better than the factory system. I used professional adapters and did not cut any wires during installation. The original head unit still works fine and comes with the car as well.
The 4 cyl engine is powerful and economical. PW, PDL, PM all work. Top works properly and seals are in great shape with no leaks. Cruise control holds speed including up and down hills. A/C, heat, defrost all work well.
Leather seats are in great shape. No rips, no burns. Don't think it's every been smoked in. Carpets are in great shape. Original mats show some wear but are very good.
There are minor chips. We live in a highly highway area, so chips to the front end are a given. It's probably not as bad as I'm making it out to be, but I want to be honest.
