Used 2002 BMW E46 M3 SMG Coupe Carbon Black on Black for sale in Lompoc, CA
Vehicle Description
Now for the nitty gritty details of things I consider it needs to be “perfect”, however these are certainly not “musts”:
- The secondary seal around the driver’s side rear window is bad. This is the secondary seal so no air or water leaks, it’s just unsightly to look at.
- The front bumper could probably use a repaint way down low below the foglights.
- The center navigation screen has the infamous dead pixels.
- The driver’s window has a tiny leak where it meets the B pillar seal. I’m thinking it’s just a window adjustment issue and typically never causes any problems however I did recently notice in the automatic carwash if it sprays high pressure water on that exact spot a couple drops could get in.
- Something in the rear deck has developed a small rattle, likely the speaker tray underneath needs the “tennis ball” fix. It’s extremely common and a real thing, just google e46 m3 tennis ball fix.
- The sliding rear cover over the rear center console cigarette tray is broken.
- The last very common problem is the trunk release handle area. The body piece that contains the release button has a tendency to break off from the trunk. It’s been bandaged and works however it is a bit fragile so rough use could break it.
I’m happy to take extra pictures of answer any questions to the best of my ability. When I’m shopping for a used car I like things to be as honest and transparent as possible, so now being on the other side of the fence I’m trying to do the same.
