Up for sale is an autocross/track-ready 2001 Mazda MX-5 Miata NB-2 w/ LS Trim Sport Package

I put some effort in this listing to prevent repeated questions, so please read thoroughly and let me know if you have any additional questions. Looking to save both your time and mine. I am looking to spend my time on serious inquiries only. With that…low ballers will be ignored….I do not need help selling this vehicle….I will not part the car out….ad will be removed once sold….so if the ad is up…it is available.

I purchased the Miata in mid-2018 with the idea of building a dependable weekend-only autocross/track car that is comfortable enough to drive around town. Since then, I only attended to 2 autocross events and never made it to the track. I had the intention of doing more events but COVID hit and I found a new hobby and the Miata was driven sparingly. The car has been driven around 8K miles since my ownership. Most maintenance items were done in 2018 and modifications were done in 2019.

Please note that in preparing for this sale, I ran the Carfax which I did not do during my purchase in 2018. I found out that the dashboard is showing less miles than it could have. Based on my estimate, the mileage is around 215K and has been in one minor accident. The Carfax also revealed that the Miata was regularly maintained which explains why it runs great and I did feel I needed to run the Carfax when I bought it. The title is clear.

Positives:
• LS Sport Package includes:
o 6 speed
o Limited Slip differential
o Larger brakes (just below 11-inch rotors across all sides)
o No anti-lock brakes
• Includes almost every mod a tuner would want in a Miata besides turbo/supercharger
• Upgrades with the brakes, suspension, & interior
• Track & autocross ready but comfortable enough to drive as a daily (Not too firm or loud)

Negatives:
• The body is meh. The body has some rust, paint chips, clear coat issues, & fading. Needs a paint job and has rust spots (see in pictures). This never bothered me since this was meant to be a track/autox car that looks good at 10 feet (which it does).
• No soft top or sun visors
• Windows go up, but slow
• Has AC/heat but the AC needs a recharge
• Partially gutted – rear area + trunk has no carpeting (so its loud, again track focus)
• Comes with 1 key

Maintenance/Repairs:
2018:
o Coolant, brake fluid, oil, transmission fluid, differential oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid replaced.
o Battery replaced

2019: Repair due to a no start issue from faulty fuel pump wiring
o Cam Angle Sensor
o Replaced fuel pump & harness (Walbro stock specs)
o Replaced Fuel Filter

2021: Replaced Speed Sensor due to speedometer not working.

The hardtop + LS spec + mods + extras make this a good value. Include all the track extras you will have everything you need to get started for a beginner racer. The car runs great, plus it is stanced just right.

I am in Calvert County in Sunderland, MD, which is 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Downtown DC and 45 minutes away from Annapolis and Waldorf.
