Used 2001 Jeep Wrangler for sale in U.S.
Vehicle Description
I bought this Jeep from a colleague who left the island this past spring. It's not refined enough for my wife, so we're shipping a car over. We are allowed just one car where we live on St. Thomas.
I purchased it for $4K and put more than that into it with parts and labor. The previous owner "island-style" put on a new soft top as St. John required all vehicles to be enclosed at the time he renewed in early 2019. I've bought a bikini-style top to put on as well as new seat covers, neither installed yet. It's a 2.5 liter engine with 2 and 4WD.
It's reliable, has oversized tires, doesn't overheat, stops well, and is a real car (not being "shipped over from St. Croix").
Good
Tires, brakes, radiator, working radio (SD, Bluetoth, Aux, Radio) and cheap replacement speakers
Bad
Cheap stereo LED display no longer working, no AC, replaced dash (odometer not correct), funky seatbelts, rustoleum over rust spots, and more
Repairs
New Brakes (all rotors, drums, pads, and shoes replaced)

New Sway Bar Links
New Computer (remanufactured)
New Torque Converter Clutch
New Drive Belt Idler Pulley
New Power Steering Pressure Switch
New Engine Cooling Fan Clutch
The work was all done by Joel's near the "Bridge to Nowhere", although I did put in the radio and speakers.
