2001 Chevy Blazer S10 4x4 4-door

The good:
Starts, runs, goes, and stops good. Reliable all-season transportation. Non-smoker vehicle. These are known for 4-wheel drive problems, but the 4x4 works well and has many newer parts (t-case encoder motor, front diff vacuum actuator (OEM GM), 4x4 dash switch and vacuum switch and most vacuum lines). Posi-Lok line run but not hooked up to front diff. Heater and A/C work well (floor heat not great), all-season tires at about 50%, all lights, stereo (CD player is hit and miss...needs cleaned), and cruise work well, decent fuel economy, great winter/off-road performance, 4.3L engine has good power and will tow a good amount of weight. Huge cargo capacity especially with rear seats folded down, easily haul 8-foot sticks of lumber inside or on top cargo rack. Fresh oil change 50 miles ago. No rust. All rear windows are factory tinted. OEM spare tire (real deal, not a donut) and jack. Cheap to insure.

The bad:
Salvage title (vehicle slid off the road many years ago while towing a trailer. The trailer was totalled out and that damage was covered under the vehicle's insurance which in turn totalled the Blazer. Actual damage to the truck was minor and limited to the rear bumper), leaks a bit of oil, driver's side seat belt cut, driver's side door panel loose, sunroom inoperable (off track? I don't use it anyway), rear cover for jack missing, windshield has crack, passenger side mirror hail damaged but usable, light hail and body damage overall but nothing major. Check engine light stays on for a transmission code, #2-3 shift solenoid, a common problem. It makes it shift kind of hard between 2nd and 3rd gears. Light has been on for 20K miles but function hasn't changed or worsened.
Typical rattles, etc for a 20 year old vehicle.

Overall this is a great little rig, awesome all-season commuter/grocery getter/college car. I don't have time or space to repair the little defects it has but it's a good truck that will serve well with a little TLC. $1500 OBO, very negoiable.
