Vehicle Description
Purchased May 2008 with 58,000 miles. The vehicle has been well maintained but does have normal levels of wear and tear one can expect from a van designed for an active outdoor lifestyle. I have copies of records from major servicing as well as the original owner’s manuals from both VW (automotive info) & Winnebago (camper conversion info). All aspects of the camper conversion are stock and work - stove, fridge, furnace, water pump...etc.
If you have made it here you likely do not need me to tell all about how amazing these vans are. A true game changer for camping and life on the road. I have a current clean Carfax report, a valid smog certificate, and the title in hand. Serious offer only.
Upgrades:

Major Service Events:
Preventative full transmission service per GoWesty’s recommendation at 70,000 miles, by GoWesty technicians, and again at 120,000 miles at Nello VW in Sacramento.
Fall 2020 all fuel injectors inspected, two replaced. New injector seals, intake manifold gaskets, fuel filter, all new spark plugs and wires, and a new battery.
Concerns:
Impact with a snowbank caused some cosmetic damage to the driver’s side and the loss of the original driver’s side-view mirror. I replaced it with a black colored one.
Impact with a deer caused some cosmetic damage to the lower front left bumper.
The white plastic molding around the luggage rack cracked and eventually broke. I removed it.
The power locks started glitching out a few years ago, I just took the fuse out and now manually lock and unlock the doors.
Minor rips in poptop screens.
The mechanism that opens the driver and passenger doors from inside has developed an issue, further diagnostic work is ongoing.
