Vehicle Description
If interested in salvage, the engine is great and still runs fine. It's a 2UZ-FE 4.7 V8 with 273XXX miles, and was impeccably maintained with 5K mi synthetic oil changes and regular filter changes. Didn't burn a drop of oil, never leaked a single drop, and was the reason I kept this truck so long. Lots of good parts. Within the last 50K mi, the following items were replaced (no receipts but records with mileage):
Timing belt
Water pump
Serpentine belt
Spark plugs
All four shocks (Bilstein)
Tires (50-60% life left)
Front rotors/pads
Rear drums
Both rear axel bearings
Driveline u-joints
Rack & pinion
Ball joints
Center support bearing
New battery (Sept 20)
Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. The previous owner supposedly owned a lube shop and meticulously maintained the engine as well. It was a great truck and never let me down.
Note the frame has significant rust, characteristic of gen 1 Tundras. The VIN was under recent recall, but Toyota stated the rust was not in the locations and quantity necessary to replace the frame. I never had an issue with it, and it was fine off road and not getting any worse, so I let it go.
You will need to tow the vehicle away. The engine will start to verify function.
