This car has been SO good to me. Bought it a number of yrs back, daily driver but most commutes within 10 mins.
I never wanted to push it on the highways, long trips or anything. Its a good town cruiser, get you there kind of thing.
The ENGINE and TRANSMISSION are EXCELLENT. That is, they run like a top, shift smooth, etc. Eats some oil, slow drip maybe. But it really is a solid motor/trans for the mileage. Stay on top of the oil and drive her nice and she could go for year(s)? No promises .she sells as is.but when you drive it you will see.
It clearly has issues and i will try to touch upon the more ridiculous stuff. The rear suspension is about shot and needs some work. It drives fine just makes a ridiculously annoying sound on bumps and at higher speeds. I like to keep this camry below 60 but have def driven over. She handles find and zips around real nice though.
The whitewall tires are likely in need of replacement(dryrot), the other tires are newer weston or some lower end brand. Got them last yr or so, w rcpts. Allignment as well.
Replaced front removable parts last yr or so. Brakes are newish. All this w/ receipts
Waterpump and timing belt have been done in last few yrs.
The battery has a lot of corrosion but if i recall, its really not all that old. Dont hold me to it but i prob have a receipt.
Leaks along the roof there, where i did an A+ job with silicone caulk. Leaks into passenger side floorboard. Expect rusting soon/eventually. Its gross and you prob want to seal it better.
Exhaust is newish most of front to back as well, maybe 2 yrs. Thats the real Achilles heel with a camry so that should be comforting. Receipts
We have maintained this for a number of years and it has been diehard, daily driver, reliable but babied given its a bit of a beater. I prob have other receipts and there are repairs i havent mentioned.
So its a little crappy, a little dumpy. Im not even gonna clean it so you can get the real full story. I honestly probably cleaned it inside only twice (except for surface simple vacuuming) in the time ive owned it bc my mentality has long been its a beater. The interior sucks(but it does clean up ok). the exterior aint great, but the engine is beast. Car as a whole Needs some work but it IS turnkey.
heres the thing. this will get you there. at least it did for me for the last DECADE. I would honestly keep it if it didnt cost me as much as it does to have two vehicles on my insurance policy. I am selling it bc i got a better vehicle. But if you are in a fix, this is a really ugly but good solution to bridge the gap.
I will tell you everything i know about the vehicle as i have no incentive to lie. I am sure there are other things ill have to say about it.
