Used 1999 VW Eurovan - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale for sale in Lynnwood, WA

Selling my 1999 Eurovan GLS.

I decided to focus on another project, so it's time to pass this one on! What kind of fun will it bring you? A custom camper? Vanlife? Your own stateroom on the ferry?

Be aware, this is not a Westfalia, weekender, or Multivan- just a "regular" Eurovan. However the middle seat does fold into a pretty large table, the back seat folds flat and level with the parcel shelf, and there's easily room for a queen mattress. It's been one of the most comfortable daily drivers I've ever owned, and it's also served as our own little dining car for takeout dates and ferry trips!

Also be aware that it's 21 years old and has 190,000 miles, and it's pretty much what you'd expect from that. No rust or major body damage, though- just a few dings and scratches.

Known issues:
-Check engine light is on. I know it's a broken wire, and I think I even know on what harness. Easy fix, but I haven't taken the time to track it down precisely.
-ABS light is on, probably the control module. The brakes work just fine (and always will since the ABS module doesn't affect regular braking) but I'm not going to try to test the ABS functionality,
-Airbag light is on, most likely the clock spring.
-Tires are a little old but are in good condition and have good tread wear.
-Headliner is missing, as are some other random trim items.
-A/C control head is buggy on startup but always works within a few seconds.

Ultimately, everything more or less works- I can't think of anything that's just plain "broken." The trans is good, which is rare for these cars. It doesn't love hills or hard acceleration, but it runs through all the gears as it should. I've been commuting with it for a few months, and it's been great. I'm an Audi mechanic, and there's nothing wrong that I'm worried will leave me on the side of the road.
