Used 1999 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 TRD for sale in Portland, OR
Vehicle Description
List of recently replaced components:
-Timing belt (90k)
-Interstate battery
-Alternator (lifetime warranty)
-Rear drum brake lines, shoes, and springs. Shop replaced trying to diagnose a break problem. Ended up finding a collapsed front brake line that was causing the issue which was replaced.
-Valve cover and gasket. Cover had hairline crack causing the leak.
-Rear pinion seal. Common replacement for these trucks as OEM ones were prone to failure.
-Air intake box as original one was cracked. OEM replacement.
-Front brake pads
-Accessory belts
-Synthetic oil every 5k miles. Full fluid change was done approximately 10k miles ago.
Suspension lift includes:
-Old Man Emu shocks, front and rear.
-Old Man Emu 881 coils
-Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs. (Full packs and bushings)
-Carrier bearing drop
-Front differential drop
-32x11.5x15 BF Goodrich T/A KO2s (Includes mounted spare that has never been used)
The truck handles great off-road and has been my family’s designated camping vehicle for the last five years in addition to my daily driver. The lift kit was professionally installed and includes all the goodies including extended brake lines, performance CV axles, and exhaust brackets. I did a lot of research before lifting the truck and this company (ARB) is very well regarded within the tacoma community. The truck could easily fit 33s without rubbing but 32s were more than enough for what I used the truck for. The lift is approximately 3” in the front and 2” in the rear. This leveled it out as these tacoma’s come with the rear about 1” higher than the front.
The truck is in great condition and does not have any rust on the cab or frame. Previous owner got the frame replaced from Toyota due to signs of rust. The new frame is coated and is very clean. There is a very small crack on the dash above the vents that has not gotten any larger since I’ve owned the truck. I have driven across country and would not hesitate to do it again tomorrow. It has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. The only reason I am selling is I am purchasing a new Tacoma because our family is growing and we need the extra room.
