Used 1999 Porsche 911 996 Carrera 6-Speed - 57k Miles - Arctic Silver - -... for sale in Chico, CA

Selling my very clean, low miles, original (except the Fister Sport exhaust) 1999 Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 6-Speed with 57,xxx miles. My only reason for selling is I am upgrading to a Turbo. Car had long term original ownership up until 2020. Asking $25k obo, cash, in person, I will not ship. Please contact me for more images or with any questions. Car is located in Chico.

Car is running strong and I just had an oil change done with Joe Gibbs Racing Driven DT40 Full-Synthetic 5w40. I also had an LN Engineering spin-on oil filter adapter, magnetic drain plug and FilterMag put on at the same time. Other recent work (within ~1k miles) included a driver side window regulator, brake booster, and motor mounts. Car should be good for another 20k miles before needing service.

This is an early 996 and thus doesn't suffer at the same level from the issues that later 996s had with the IMS bearing. Jake Raby knows more about 996 Porsches than anyone around and he recommends buying the earliest example you can for many reasons. One is the early (99 or earlier) cars have dual row IMS bearings which are more robust than the single-row bearing Porsche moved to in 2000+. The early cars also have a cable throttle, which many prefer. Another perk is early cars were built alongside the outgoing 993 and are said to have a better fit and finish than later 996s. I bought this car for all those reasons and the low miles. I am only selling because I am fortunate enough to have had the chance to pick up a 2001 Turbo, and I could not pass it up.

The car is also a true driver's spec base model car with little options, namely just a cd player. Car is in incredible condition, interior 10/10, exterior 8/10. Exterior is graded as an honest 8/10 as there was hail damage from the original owner that was corrected with PDR. The roof and rear were repainted, so they are not original paint. That is the only negative this car has and the car still is immaculate. Interior looks and feels brand new, which is quite the feat for a 20+ year old car.

Car has original 17" 'baby' Turbo Twist wheels with Continental ExtremeContact DW tires. Fister Sport exhaust sounds amazing when you want and is very quiet for all of your other driving. Everything works as it should, windows, sunroof, wing, radio, lights, etc.
