Used 1999 Ford Explorer for sale in Craftsbury, VT
Vehicle Description
I am selling my 1999 Ford Explorer. Currently sitting at 124k miles, with many more to go. Originally from Texas, I received this vehicle back in 2013 from a family member, and have relied on it ever since. I am the second owner. However, it's time for an upgrade, so I am willing to part ways with my first love. It's a dependable vehicle that's fun to drive, spacious, and in great condition for it's age.
The Good: Fresh, April, VT inspection sticker. 4 new Kumho winter tires (purchased in February, only 2k on them). Brand new starter (4/23). New control arm, ball joints, sway bar links, e-brake shoes, rear rotors (front in 2020), brake lines, spark plugs, alignment, and passenger head light. Mechanic who inspected the vehicle stated the frame is in great shape. Includes a 1999 Ford Chilton Repair Manual.
The Okay: 4 All season tires (2 have wear on the insides from before alignment, while drivable they are not the best, back two are fine.) Minor cosmetic issues; interior foam and faux leather handles on front doors were damaged / came off as the glue aged. I hit a deer at low speed last year so there is damage to the plastic on the front of the car (no radiator / engine damage). Light interior damage from various furniture being moved. Dome light and upper cigarette lighter do not work (likely a fuse). Light chip on the passenger tail light (sealed). Two dings in the windshield from popped rocks (4/2021). Hood needs to be propped often (snow scraper works fine). Small scratches from canoes on roof. Coolant temperature gauge has never worked, just needs a new internal meter, will occasionally ping the engine light. Light rust on tail. All issues are pictured.
The Bad: You're not driving this beauty. That I'm selling her.

I am in the process (As of 4/23) of acquiring a new chariot in anticipation of selling Mary. While I expect this to be a short process, please note that I will not be able to complete the sale unless I have acquired a new vehicle.
I am not willing to trade for this vehicle, just looking to make back a down payment as well as the work put into getting this into satisfiable selling shape.
