1998 Chevy Astro Van w/ only 64,811 Original Miles. The vehicle was bought Brand New by the City of Houston and used solely by HISD's Dietitian. It came equipped with GM's 4.3 Liter Powerful yet Economical, Very Long Lasting V6 Engine, a Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission, Ice Cold Front and Rear AC, AM-FM Radio, Power Fully Tinted Windows and Power Locks, Power Side View Mirrors, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, Dual Air Bags and Power Steering and Brakes. The Dietitian didn't use it very often and she never carried anything that could be construed to be a heavy load or have to travel any great distances. The vehicle was maintained by the City and per the mechanics I spoke to, they changed the oil and filter every 6 months, coolant, transmission fluid, filter and rear end grease every 2 years due to its infrequent light use.
If you are familiar with Astro Vans, you know that they're Workhorses; they stopped making them 17 years ago and you still see them on the road everywhere. The Astro Van was originally designed as a light to medium duty, economical cargo van and there are a whole lot of them still on the road with 300,000 and 400,000 miles on them still going strong even though the last ones were built all the way back in 2004. Another GREAT THING ABOUT ASTRO VANS is they fit in garages avoiding night time theft; also since this van has more windows than most Cargo Vans, I bought it a Prestige Two Horn Car Alarm with remote lock and a touch sensor set to moderate.

"I BOUGHT THIS ASTRO VAN FROM THE CITY OF HOUSTON TO RESELL IT" then immediately went through it mechanically with a fine tooth comb. First I bought it a New Battery then I did all the scheduled maintenance again; New Oil and Oil/Air Filters, bought it a Brand New Water Pump, Radiator Cap and Thermostat, Flushed the Cooling System adding New Coolant, did an entire Transmission Service adding a new Pan Gasket, a New Transmission Filter and the Gallon of Dexron III to finish the job. Included, I gave it a Complete Tune-Up: New Ignition Wires, New Spark Plugs, New Distributor Cap and Rotor, replaced both the Engine mounts to Smooth the Idle and the Cruise Control Module as the original had frozen from non-use.
I replaced the Dual AC Compressor along with the Orifice Tube, Freon and Oil, installed 2 Brand New Heavy Duty Tires on the Front and had them aligned and balanced. It only needed one, but I believe that two matching tires should be on the front so I still have an extra really good tire for you. I also replaced the Power Window Assembly in the drivers door and I bought it a New Windshield Wiper Motor and Washer Pump. The body of my Van is like new; I got most of it Brand New Green Paint as there were some small dents and a lot of sunburn that needed paint. The interior is Like New in that the cloth seats are perfect and I replaced the carpet.

There are NO vans for sale, with the LOW MILES, EXCELLENT BODY, LIKE NEW INTERIOR, PERFECT RUNNING CONDITION, BRAND NEW AC, New Plates and Inspection that my fully equipped van has at my Low Price of only $7500.00. My van also has ALL THE BRAND NEW PARTS I just bought it plus my COMPLETE MAINTENANCE SERVICE. There are a bunch of other vans out there with WAAY more than my van's miles and not nearly in this Excellent Condition for $12,000 and up. My Mint Condition, well equipped Chevy Astro Van is a Great Investment at my asking price; it just needs to be lettered for your business, (if desired), and put to work. Granted, it is a 1998 Model, but it has Super Low Mileage and has had the Professional Care necessary that maintained it since new. ALSO, PLEASE KNOW THAT THESE VANS WEAR OUT WITH HARD USE, AND/OR LACK OF CARE, NOT AGE IN YEARS. My fully equipped Chevy Astro Van has only the equal of a few years driving of VERY LIGHT SCHOOL USE.
The van is quite responsive with its Economical yet Powerful 4.3 Liter V6; its automatic transmission shifts smoothly and properly; it runs and rides like new, steers and stops straight and rides super quiet. I truly believe you could search the USA and not find an Astro Van even close to being comparable to it. With all I've done to the Van to make it Like New again, my asking price of $7500 (OBO) may or may not be a steal, but if you know anything about Astro Vans you'll know I'm offering a really good deal on a COMPLETELY RENEWED, SUPER LOW MILEAGE WARHORSE of a vehicle that will be a great investment for your business for years and years. Please realize also that my van's engine, transmission and suspension had, again, only the equivalent of maybe 3 or 4 years of driving and that was very light use. For your peace of mind, the City of Houston guaranteed the van was not affected by Harvey or any other flood.

My van is an excellent investment at my asking price and I have a clean second row bench seat for it and an extra really good tire.
