For sale is a 1998 750il BMW built date 9/97 , also known as an e38 , land yacht or land barge depending on who you ask. Couple quick facts before we get to it.. This is a 750il it has a v12 engine code M73, it’s a SOHC cap rotor setup with 1 coil per bank. The windows are dual pane not bullet proof, only protection and security line comes with bulletproof windows. I would say the engine is bulletproof.

The body and engine had 300k but the transmission was rebuilt at 150,222 ...

This 750 has been my daily for 6 years now, the last owner did the blue paint job and had the transmission rebuilt which I believe seeing that this 750 has 300,000 miles 140,000 of those miles I put on the car. I have records and part history for my years of ownership, this car has been very reliable will pass everything but a gas station on avg you will get 480-610 miles to the tank. I use 93 only for this boat. No leaks , no check engine light, There is an air bag light because the seats were changed to Sport seats from a Facelift 99 740i.
All fluid have been change, Yes I mean ALL fluids
Brake fluid : Pentosin Super Dot 4 changed at 201,000m | At 264,000m flushed again and all brake lines upgrade to steel braided.
Differential : Amsoil 75w-140 changed at 190,000 and 240,000m
Power steering requires Chf11s fluid has been changed 4 times do to hose changing and SLS service system.
Transmission has been serviced 3 times, 192,000 filter and gasket using Pentosin Atf1, 249,000 drain and fill, 299,332 Filter , gasket and pentosin service.
AC compressor and dryer replaced at 193,000
Engine Oil Amsoil 5w40 euro classic every 7500 miles

Upgrades :
If you know about 750s or the M73 engine 98-01 they have air-assist injectors .. which are old , pita and expensive to replace. I have delete all this and changed to Bosch gen-3 injectors these injectors they have the same flow rate but are 4 hole vs the pin style of the originals and no airline to break off and cause vacuum leaks or p0173/p0170 codes.

A/B/C pillar been wrapped black.
Modlight2 -- Grom BT3 – this car has Bluetooth and you can answer calls using the steering wheel controls. also IPOD and aux cord in the rear armrest.
Dual battery setup has been added from the later 99-01 models. Just for more battery life and cap.
Front H&R springs
All 14 speakers have been upgraded
Wheels are style 95s square 19x10 with 275/40r19 -- full size spare as well 19x8 with 245/45 tire.
Spacers 20 rear 15 front.

Working TPMS system installed.
Steel braided brake lines with Brass pin for the calipers.
Another known problem is the 55-60 mph shimmy – the permeant fix this is spherical Control arm bushings which are installed. K&N drop in filters

The car has been well taken care of and every major and minor mechanical part has been replaced or upgraded.
2 tune ups have been done with in the time of my ownership on at the time of purchase and at 291k
Coils , wires, 12 plugs, cam sensor, crank sensors , 4x 02 sensors, cap&rotor, water pump, all coolant hose from the heater core to the radiator, intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, OSVs, drive belts tensioner 2 OEM MAF The list goes on.. now I know what some will say OMG all this work it must have be a lot of money to have had to do it twice bah bha no i did 140k in my ownership that is over the service interval for alot of things O2, spark plugs, belt those items and maybe more need to be changed by mileage if they don’t fail or break. .. and for that there is they have a lifetime warranty buy it once and warranty for life.. for anyone that owns a European car FCPeuro is a must..

Now for the bad --- which for a 22 year old car at 300k isn’t bad..
Driver seat is ripped .. all them miles in that seat
I have the euro glove box but the other half is missing.
Front bumper is a different color.
Center console panel cover is broken.
There are 5 dents between the hood, roof and trunk this is from 2017 hurricane that hit Tampa
The car is painted Blue ..
Tint will need to be replaced .. on 2 windows
Cluster is missing pixels but still readable
Drive door card will need to be replaced others will need to be reglued at the top or replaced

Sunroof handle clip broke … like 22 year old bmw plastic would..

Center support bearing will need to be replaced. I found it on one of my inspections, I have purchased the part but no time to replace it. The CSB has been replaced before at 204k took me about 5 on the ground.

Overall this car is good for another 200k+. it has been to 39 of the 50 states, climbed the mountains outside of Denver (winter park CO) 12,221 feet.

So if you got this far in the post, then either your serious in some way or just want a toilet read for a car ad… I’m asking 2800 or best offe .. I don’t have a bottom dollar or lowest price if you feel the price is too high for your pockets or in some way you think you can find another 750 for less be my guest go buy that one and don’t waste my time…or your time.
