Used 1997 Ford F150 Supercab w/camper shell for sale in Brisbane, CA
Vehicle Description
I have a pretty solid 1997 F150 with ~167k miles on it up for sale. Purchased it a few years back and converted the back into a little bedroom, mainly just for the purposes of having a place to sleep on the road/camping. It has taken me all over California over the last few years and i've made a lot of great memories with this truck.
I purchased it with around 130k on the odo and have since put about 40k on it. It's always been reliable and robust. Only broke down on me once when the alternator went out.
Replaced the fuel pump a couple years ago. Alternator and steering gear box were both replaced recently as well. New front and back temp coolant sensors as well as three new tires. Just had it inspected and smogged and renewed registration. Oil has been regularly changed every 5-7k miles.
The coolant does seem to have a slow leak, after driving a few hundred miles normally it needs to be topped off. Not sure where the leak is but it hasn't been an issue for me. I've just been topping it off with coolant when needed - and its been running strong as far as I can tell. Only thing else to mention is the the previous owner had the heater core bypassed, so no hot air.
The shell is yours too if you want it. Its an extra tall leer camper shell that I also painted blue on the inside. However the back window on the shell was busted out recently and is currently just being covered with a tarp. I converted the truck bed into a little home , put a shelf in, custom wood mattress frame, curtains for the windows, etc.
Asking 4,500 but I’d be willing to negotiate somewhat if you are a serious buyer. Thanks!
