Used 1997 Chevy S10 4wd Extended Cab Truck for sale in Wasilla, AK
Vehicle Description
There are a few dings, but overall the body is pretty decent. Mechanically it is in great condition and it doesn't leak any fluids. Handles very well, the tires are in great shape, and it has a new spare. Would be a great daily driver, also a good winter rig or your backup rig. I have kept the maintenance up and it still runs strong and solid at 196,000 miles. With regular maintenance and oil changes this truck will easily go another 100,000 miles.
The previous owner said he dropped a tree on the driver door (see photo) and also broke the windshield. His insurance totaled it, so the door was straightened up and the windshield and door glass were replaced. There was no damage to the frame and it has driven fine. The door damage can be repaired pretty easy and inexpensively, it honestly just never bothered me. The only real body issue is on the right rear (driver side) of the bed, and it can also be fixed pretty easily .
This truck has an excellent heater, nice tight 4wd and it also has a pretty decent Pioneer stereo and speakers that I put in last winter. Last summer I replaced the complete Exhaust system and the entire brake system (pads, shoes, calipers, wheel cylinders, rotors, drums, spring kits and master cylinder) the brakes are great. This summer I replaced all 4 Shocks and the Alternator (lifetime NAPA guarantee). Battery is good and only about 2 years old, A/C gets very cold, Heater gets very hot and All fluids have just been changed this month 10/19.
