Vehicle Description
1996 F350 Crew Cab Flatbed, 4x4, MANUAL, straight 4" exhaust. Comes with a 5.9 Cummins diesel from a 1996 Dodge pickup. The Cummins motor is NOT installed - truck still has the original 7.3 engine. This package is the makings of an incredible truck.
I purchased this truck in late 2016 and have put about 2,000 miles on it - has a total of ~265K. I purchased the engine less than a year ago intending to install it in the truck, but I no longer have time for this project. The Cummins engine fired up immediately and ran - it's been wrapped and secured ever since.

The GOOD:
- Strong MANUAL 5-speed transmission
- 4.10 gears
- 4 wheel drive works great - it's a beast
- Many new front end components (tie rod ends, etc.)
- Renewed driveline
- New glow plugs and glow plug harness
- Heavy duty flatbed w/ recessed gooseneck hitch
- Functioning air bag rear suspension with gauge/control in the cab
- Interior is in very good shape
The NOT IDEAL:
- Dent in the hood and a few scrapes on the front quarter panel and side doors
- Needs some paint love. A new paint job would be a good idea (since it has a flatbed, only need to paint the front half)
- Existing engine runs rough and isn't a good long-term solution
- There is a moderate dent in the rear fender of the flatbed. It can likely be worked out fairly easily.

I can connect you with a highly experienced guy who does Ford/Cummins conversions all the time; the same guy I intended to have work on this project. Based on my conversations with him, you're looking at between $3K-$5K of parts and labor to get the Cummins installed and the truck fully operational. So, for around $15K total, you can have arguably the best truck on the planet: OBS F350, crew cab, straight front axle, MANUAL trans, flatbed, with the legendary 5.9 Cummins 12V.
I have over $13K into this truck/motor, so I won't entertain unreasonable offers - I'm not desperate to sell it. This package is fairly priced and just needs someone with the time, interest, and enthusiasm to take it across the finish line.
