Vehicle Description
The six disc CD changer in the trunk seems to be on the fritz. The power antennae does not retract. Obviously these are minor issues. Radio is functional. ABS is fully functional, and the rear passenger brake caliper and both rear rotors/pads were replaced. Fronts are still good. Yokohama tires with plenty of tread left.
Interior has been very well maintained, and is free of major soiling and stains. The color and integrity of the fabric have held up well for being almost 25 years old. The utility of the interior is without question, easily fitting four extra passengers and with the seats folded down there isn’t much that can’t fit inside. Plenty of room under the cargo cover as well.
The exterior of the car is free of major cosmetic defects. Peeling clear coat here and there, a few spots of surface rust but no major defects or damage.
Full spare in the rear with jack.
The only mechanical issue the car has is the power steering rack. It was replaced with a remanned unit, and when fully turned lock-to-lock in either direction, causes it to weep a small amount of power steering fluid for the duration of the tight turn. During turns with a larger radius there are no leaks. Only when fully cranked left or right. This doesn’t affect the drivability of the car, nor the safety. Top it off with fluid every three or four days, and it’s perfectly fine.
192K miles. This will not increase by any significant amount, as I do not drive the car and have only been taking it on a short 10 miles commute once a week or so to keep the battery from dying and to keep it running.
This would be a perfect first car for someone learning to drive. Very safe, an economical commuter, and a very utilitarian wagon with tons of space!
