This good looking Toyota Celica does need a little work but hang on now and hear me out. First, do you really want a project car? Heck yes you do! How else are you gonna learn to fix this stuff instead of paying someone else too much money to fix it for you?? $800 (or best offer) is a bargain for all that learning experience and think of how proud you will be driving this car around for the next five years or more with less than $1000 invested in it. Plus, this car has just had new pistons and rings installed. So, what's wrong with it then you may ask. Good question. Well, I didn't do the work but I believe the valve clearances are set wrong. Compression is about 30 lbs on one of the cylinders. Hey it's only got 4 and you just have to fix one! Piece of cake right? You may be thinking, well why don't you fix it yourself then since you think project cars are so great? Well, I just finished putting a new water pump on a Mazda Miata for my son so I already have my wrench time in for the month. When you're over 60, crawling around under cars isn't as much fun as it used to be either.
