Used 1993 Toyota Hilux Surf SSRX Limited Turbo Diesel RHD - cars & trucks... for sale in Hollis, NY

Up for sale is my 1993 Hilux Surf Turbo Diesel. Truck is a RHD model from
Japan originally. It has the original 1KZTE with automatic transmission with part time push button 4WD. Truck has 122k miles on it.

This is a high optioned truck with factory bubble visors, factory widebody, rear spoiler, and blind spot fender mirror. Factory dual battery winter package.

I’ve done all the work and maintenance myself since I’ve imported this truck into the states in February of 2019.

Over the course of my ownership I’ve done:

- New front rotors with new calipers and new brakes. Repacked the front bearings with fresh grease
- New Rear drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders
- New rebuilt USDM 4Runner 1” Master Cylinder. I modded the RHD lines to work with a LHD master (you can now just get one from the parts store and drop right in)
- New OEM Toyota Front upper and lower ball joints
-New OEM Toyota rear main seal
-New OEM Toyota turbo drain pipe (common 1KZ issue)
- New Glow plugs
- Fuel Filter
- Oil Change
- Rebuilt Alternator
- One Rebuilt axle in front
- Converted the front to manual locking hubs using OEM Aisin hubs (saves wear and effort on the front end parts when you’re in 2WD)
- New KYB shocks all around
- New MOOG Rear standard height springs to replace the commonly sagging stock springs
- New BFGoodrich KO2 ATs 31x10.5x15
- I replaced the original speedometer with a USDM model when the original speedo burned out right around the time I parked it for the winter. I mileage corrected the new speedo to match. And have photos and the original speedometer to back that up.

Truck has a 3 inch exhaust to a Flowmaster 40 series muffler sounds real good when you rev it up.

AC and Heat all work well.

When I bought the truck I realized it has a newer head swapped on with timing belt and water pump and all front seals done within the last few years. (Can show casting date on head)

Truck also has a coolant heater plumbed into the cooling system. You can plug it into 120v AC at home to keep the engine warm in the winter for easier cold starts.

Interior was shampooed and vacuumed by me earlier this year.

Frame is clean. No rot or heavy rust. Just minor surface rust. You’re welcome to inspect the frame and hit it with a hammer if you’d like.

Cons:
Driver seat has a rip on the cushion covered in tape since I got it
Crack in dash pad
The heater valve cable is broken on the HVAC unit side. It never bothered me enough to replace it, I would just turn the valve on and off manually under the hood depending on weather change.

I’m asking $14,500 or best offer. Sure you can spend around the same for a truck from an importer. But you’d still have to do all of the maintenance to it.

I have a clean NYS Title in my name, in hand ready to go to the new owner. This truck also qualifies for collector insurance which I have in my name under Hagerty.
