Used 1993 Geo Metro XFi Hatchback - 50+ MPG - Reliable Transportation -... for sale in Portland, OR

Hi, I am selling my 1993 Geo Metro XFi Hatchback.

It has served me well for over a year and has no major issues.
For those who don't know, the XFi is a rare model of Geo Metro that was only produced from 89-94 and is the "Extreme Fuel Efficiency" model. All of the original XFi components are there, the whole car is original for that matter.

It has been extremely reliable, starts up every time. Have driven it cross-country multiple times.
The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner before I purchased it (around 200k), and has 200+ PSI compression on all cylinders (a factory new Metro engine has ~200 PSI compression).

5 Speed Manual Transmission, the special XFi one geared for maximum fuel efficiency. It has more lower end power due to this and the specific XFi camshaft.

If you are familiar with Geo Metros, then you will know that they are not the fastest car on the road by any means. But it will get you, your cargo, and passengers where you need to go, and VERY cheaply at that. It costs less than $20 to fill up usually, and gets around 50 MPG Highway and 45 City. If you change the oil every 3000 miles, you should have a reliable, insanely fuel efficient car for years to come.

It's a small car, but it can hold more than you think! The rear seat being folded down allows for loading of all types of items, for example I was able to fit a 30" Wide, 16" Deep, 48" Tall Dresser inside and still close the hatch!
As well as countless other times people said "there's no way that's going to fit in the car" and it absolutely did, with room to spare!

Due to COVID, and in the spirit of not wasting time, I ask that you please only come to see and test drive the car if you're reasonably certain you want it. On that note, also PLEASE know how to drive a Manual Transmission (Stick Shift) if you're going to test drive it, or bring someone with you that does. It is a very forgiving car and a great car to learn how to drive Stick Shift on (has an "upshift indicator light" to let you know when to shift into the next gear), I just don't want someone to damage the car who isn't going to buy it (it's happened).

I would absolutely not be selling if I hadn't bought another Metro (4-door) that is my current daily driver.

The tags are not current. I haven't had any issues, and should be an easy fix once DMV opens back up (or if you can get an appointment). I have the Title in hand.
