Meet “Snowflake- the fake Subaru!” Some people say the Outback was modeled after the escort wagon. Then again, “some people” have said a lot of things.
I bought this car in sunny NM for a job and ended up not needing it. On my way to butte I got 32-39 mpg going 65-75mph. It idles and runs smoothly. Didn’t seem to burn any oil on my trip. Has a nice stereo, but needs a professional installation. It works but makes a popping sound occasionally. Two new tires in back. back folds FLAT when seat backs are removed as they are now, only six bolts to reinstall. Currently is outfitted w trifold plywood as sleeping platform. I’m 6’2” and have PLENTY of room to stretch out. multiple configurations depending on need for seatbelted riders in back, dogs, gear, riders and dogs and gear.you get the picture.
