We are selling our family owned, since new, 1991 Explorer. This is a fantastic 4x4 for cheap. Only 79K summer driven miles!
Most everything is in very good condition with a couple minor issues. Body is straight and in VERY good condition. No rust, no accidents, just
a bit faded, but it is almost 30 years old! Interior is VERY clean.
Both back doors don't open from the inside but I think it's just something with the child locks. Haven't had a chance to look into it (will if I have time). AC does need re-charging but we never needed AC up in the mountains. Back tailgate can be hard to lock.
Everything else works great. Engine starts right up every time. Does have an oil leak from bottom of motor. Barely need to add oil over 3K miles (maybe 1/4 quart).
Has battery disconnect since it doesn't get driven much in winter. It's been garaged it's whole life and mainly driven in summer.
Power windows and locks work great. 4x4 Hi and LOW work great. Auto trans shifts nice and smooth. Oil changed every 3K by Hi Tone Auto in Basalt. Very well maintained. New brakes all around and new tires less than 500 miles ago. Water pump replaced a couple years ago. That work alone was around $3K.
