Used 1987 Trans Am ws6 350 5 spd carb conversion - - by for sale in Winter Haven, FL

1987 Trans Am with factory ws6 suspension. Car is not running and will need to be towed. A lot of time and money have already gone into this car but I don't have the time to finish and I hate to see it just sitting condition getting worse by the day. This would be a great project to finish.

The motor is a 350 tpi from a corvette that the previous owner swapped in (have documents from the swap) it has a 5 speed manual transmission. I have removed the TPI and everything having to do with computer control and have put a carburator on. The carb is edelbrock 650 CFM vacuum secondary electric choke on top of a dual plane intake manifold. The heads have been replaced with freshly rebuilt vortec heads that have new valves, springs rated for slightly higher lift, locks, retainers, new but stock rockers, and minor gasket matching port work. New MLS head gasket and head studs (not bolts) hold it in place. A tall k&n filter with crome hat. Have a set of shorty headers that will come with it, as I could never find long tubes made for the manual tranny in a decent price range. The bottom end is stock and will need the oil that's in it changed. It also has a new water pump and gaskets, new distributer, new thermostat housing and 160 thermostat. New radiator with dual high cfm electric fans that will come with an adjustable temp thermostat auto on off switch. The fuel tank has been replaced and a sump added as well as a inline electric pump with low pressure adjustable regulator. It has fitted a new gm 1 wire 200 amp alternator that needs to be wired in. The rear end has had all bearings replaced from pinion to the axle bearings. Has tubular panhard bar and lower control arms with relocation brackets. Has poly torque arm bushing.

The ac has been completely removed minus some of the plastics under the dash, the hole in the engine bay has been covered and sealed with sheet metal and gasket maker. The ecu and passenger side harness is gone (but included with the car) as it's not necessary on a carbed setup. The rear drum breaks have been replaced with a dics conversion kit to get rid of those problematic drums. The wing has been removed as it was in very bad shape, was going to replace with the fiberglass one, can include old one if you want it. The side mirror was missing when I bought the car looks as if the door skin may need replacing as well. A new set of shocks for the front will be included and the rears are brand new as well. Also including the old heads and parts for them, I had started to port them but nicked the valve seat on one and stopped. There 305 truck heads and don't flow worth shit, so that's why there are vortecs on it now.

The interior is completely removed but I have all plastics, seats, belts etc to go with, the seats need to be reupholstered. I repaired two rust holes on the front floor plans by cutting away the bad metal and laying about 8 layers of woven roven and fiberglass resin, it's sealed well and strong. I have foil back sound deadener through most the car and will give you enough to finish it. I also have brand new in the box a full carpet in black. The headliner I recovered in black suede. Looks great just needs to be put back in. It has a fiberglass cowl hood with hood pins. It has brand new weather stripping all the way around and the t top bar is not rusty or falling apart. The windshield was cracked when I got it but needs replacing. The steering column is loose, there is an easy fix I found online but never got around to doing it, I can include a print out on it if you would like them. I have a switch bank with push button start and 3 acc I was going to install the run the fuel pump off a switch, manual fans on another and use the button and do away with the key ignition I will include that as well.

Since these pictures were taken I have cleaned the car, the engine bay, vacuumed all the leaves out of the engine bay got all the crud off of the outside of the car and have taken all the plastic and everything that's going to come with it and put them inside the car except for the picture that you see of the seats and the headliner that is sitting in the garage still.

I'm asking 2000 for everything which is a great deal for what's been done and what's included, knowing the value of this car in good condition is steady going up.
