Records of everything kept by previous owner. This has been my trusty home since March.
I am going to graduate school and I would like to downsize. This is my second car and serves as primarily an adventure vehicle, and unfortunately I won't have much use for it, so I'd like to find someone who will.
It's a 4.3 six cylinder, 2wd 1987 GMC Safari.
It needs a new muffler, but is otherwise sound.
I've been using it as a trip van for exploring around western colorado/ eastern Utah and I have run into zero issues. The longest distance this car has traveled is from Salt Lake City to Moab, which was during a snowstorm, and it did fine in probably 6 inches of snow.
Heat works, AC does not work, exterior lights work (headlights, brake lights, turn signals), radio works and cassette player works, interior lights only work when the battery is well-charged and the lights on the inner console that house the cassette player ect. only turn on occasionally, as does the cigarette lighter.
The transmission is a wonder considering the year. It's super smooth. I don't recommend driving like a maniac, but if you take it easy on the car it gets up to 75 comfortably.
I think with some love to the muffler, and an oil change soon down the road, it will treat you well.
