Used 1986 Nissan D21 Hardbody 4cyl, 5 speed manual - - by for sale in Vancouver, OR
Vehicle Description
Purchased at 240k miles from original owner who used it as a commuter. A bit dinged up from parking during the day at Clark College for years. Original owner did some shoddy electrical work installing a CDplayer. Other electrical issue is it draws on the battery lightly all the time, hence the battery kill switch installed. Vehicle used for commuting and occasional hunting. Pictured you see the exhaust got snapped at the connection point. This occured from general rust in conjunction with driving on snow and sinking into a thick patch. Also from snow/ice, vehicle pulls a little left due to low speed curb collision on driver side. Also, I parked in downtown Portland once and (I'm assuming) some junkie stole some of the easily accessible plastic parts. Tailgate still functions but is just made less convenient thanks to junkie.
It's been a great truck and low maintenanceconsidering the total mileage, but I got a better commuter that has fewer quirks and is more fuel efficient. Came in handy helping friends and family move. It's been sitting for about 2 years, so the battery is nearly completely shot.
head gasket replaced at ~280k miles
Starter replaced at ~300k
