Vehicle Description
3rd owner (middle aged women, older guy, and me), all maintenance records back to 2008, rust free, dent free, some paint fade in places, but overall very shinny, first year for 2nd generation ZX, 192k miles, AM/FM/Cassette radio with digital clock, cruise control-all lights/gauges work, non-smoker, AC converted to new Freon (just recharged), automatic with OD, power antenna does not work (replacement is $50 on eBay), but doesn't affect the radio operation, new rear shocks
Spare tire (including Datsun "Inflate-A Tire" cannister)/jack and tool kit never out of car, owner's manual included-T-tops are removable (no leaks) and T-top covers never used. Passenger seat, rear seat barely used-carpet like new there, but driver's seat and carpet shows some wear-small carpet loss on passenger side leg brace-floor mats. Headliner is missing-I haven't gotten any quotes yet, but honestly, you don't notice it's gone (it's very small). All seats/carpet have been steamed cleaned.
The man I bought the car from bought it used with 12k on it from a middle aged women (no children or spouse), he put 180k on it over a 34 year period, never driving it in snow or colder weather-always garaged. I drove it home from North Carolina (650 miles), 65 mph on cruise and it ran like a top. It passed NC State Inspection in October, but I'd put new tires on it if I was keeping it. Previous owner was meticulous on repairs and part replacement, having most of the work done by the Nissan dealership-timing belt, tire rotations, oil/filter changes, new transmission, radiator flush-I've never seen a vehicle with maintenance records like this.
These ZX cars are climbing in value-check out prices on eBay (Nissan 300ZX),. Would consider trade for Jeep Wrangler in same condition as this vehicle.
