Vehicle Description
Original owner. Modified in 1998 with 1997 Camero used LT-1 Engine and 6-speed manual transmission. This conversion included a Flowmaster dual exhaust system, strut tower brace, K&N AirFilter, Headers, new Engine mounts, new induction system, new exhaust system. 2004 modifications include front wheel adjustable camber plates, racing duty sway bars, transmission side brace, rear adjustable springs, front adjustable macpherson struts, solid steering rod links, Baer brake calipers, NACA air duct cooling ducts for front brakes, modified wheel hubs for racing wheels and speed lugs. Carbou racing seats, 4 point bolted in roll bar, 5-point racing harnesses, two sets of racing wheels with one set equipped with used racing slicks and the other set with high performance Kumho street/wet surface tires. Further modifications include legal removal of catalytic converter and larger exhaust system. Projected horsepower is at least 325HP. This car is set up for road course or hill climb competition. It has been run mostly at Road Atlanta. It has been run at Daytona, Barber Motorsports and Roebling tracks. It has minor dents & dings as well as spots of rust. T-tops. All records since new!
The original engine had 60,000 miles on it and the replacement engine had less than 20,000 miles on it. I have driven it less than 10,000 miles on the replacement engine but 3,000 of that is under racing conditions!
