Vehicle Description
there is NO smog for this vehicle.
we routinely go up and down the CA coast and it does fine but slow going up hills.I bought with the intention of engine swapping it , after going on a few trips we just decided to leave it and enjoy it, :)
New upholstery( completely redone front and bench seat) its actually comfortable:)
New custom paint( windows out ) with all new weatherstripping everywhere.

rare vw euro steering wheel
new springs. new shocks
new suspension bushings.
new CV axles.
new transmission with less than 8k miles on rebuilt trans and clutch.
dual battery system.
new pop up tent.
new weatherstripping
brand new fuse box replaced along with many terminal ends
new brake pads and brake lines on all four corners.
new calipers, new rotors, new wheel bearings on all four corners
new shocks and springs on all four corners. so it rides very smooth.
new pop top seals and luggage rack seals.
Radio works with new speakers installed.
new tie rod ends.
custom on off rear and front bumper. welded square tubing is super strong.
It's currently on gowesty 15's with Nokian tires.
brand new calipers, brake lines, wheel bearings,
new steering bushings . on column and near steering box.
new trailing arm bushings
I have a giant folder with info and receipts.
Fridge works, sink works, stove works, new propane regulator, new sink pump.
sliding door handle was broken and never replaced.
Windshield washer sprayers dont work.
Horn needs some connections to function with the south african steering wheel
New electrical components such as light connectors for turn signals and steering wheel stalks were replaced .
instrument cluster was rebuilt . miles are correct .
heater blower just went out and I dont have time to replace. its. a cheap part but i have no time to tinker.
glow plug system was restored to new oem.
25mpg city and almost 30 mpg highway. the van cruises at 55-65 on flat and 45 or so up steep hills. I will try and be as thorough as I can with any questions.
injection pump was replaced with a rebuilt around 120k.
new alternator, new timing belt,and water pump.
new window seals on every window
new windshield, currently on stock wheels with very good tires, and stock bumpers.
I daily drive this van all over the bay area. And before covid we were driving up and down the coast frequently.this is a great van . it gets compliments everytime day . it has been reliable since replacing all the old components.
I have not had time to repost it, but van will be i shop this week getting a few things done. i have an inspection report in hand from karmakanix here in berkeley. selling at a loss due to these draconian times.
