1979 Ford Mustang Ghia 2 dr. coupe for sale. 94,000 2.8 v-6 engine w/ c-4 automatic; 1st year of the Fox body type.
The car was my daily runner before being parked and forgotten in my storage garage for over 25 years with the hopes that one day I would swap out the wimpy v-6 with a boss 302 and do a muscle car makeover/restoration...
..... cut to 25 years later...
Filled the tires, pushed her into the daylight and wiped the dirt off the paint
Body is still solid, with little or no rust.
Chrome rocker panel trim is missing on the passenger side
Interior has cloth seats complete with 25 years of musty garage smell.
Didn't try to start it, although I was tempted to throw a little gas down her throat and hit the key. No reason why it shouldn't.
The center console compartment is cracked and broken. back in 1993 , I leaned a little hard on it on a cold winter morning and it just exploded.
The plastic on the trip meter guage cracked the same way. Gotta love that 70's car OEM quality!
