Vehicle Description
This 1979 Ferrari 308 GTB is in finished in Giallo Yello trimmed with tan leather to match the carpet and door panels and shows just 57,000 miles. It is a US market example that was sold new at Hollywood Beverly Hills Car Co in Beverly Hills, California and remained with the first owner until 2016. I purchased the car in 2016 from the original owner (after two years searching for a great 70's GTB) and have performed several major services (performed by European Car Specialists in Newport Beach and most recently by renowned Competizione and Sports Cars in Maryland) which included a timing belt replacement, clutch replacement, refreshed carbs, electronic ignition, seal replacements etc. totaling nearly $25k in invoices
Power comes from a carburated 2.9-liter V8 paired with 5-speed manual gearbox, and modifications include a Birdman Fusebox, an aftermarket stereo (original comes with the car) and Pertronix ignition. Shod with correct Michelin tires.
A fire extinguisher has been added behind the driver’s seat, and the A/C system was converted to R134 and charged.
All instruments function great. AC blows cold.
Highly original CA car, recently moved to DC in September 2018.
