Vehicle Description
Low mileage 12 valve 5.9 Cummins with a new turbo. 4" Turbo back straight pipe.
New Luk Gold Series single disk clutch. The pilot bearing that came with it wasn't great so that was just replaced.
Rebuilt NV4500 with new input shaft and 1st, 2nd, and 3 gear all replaced. The rest of the gears were freshened up with new brass and syncros.
Transfer case rebuild.
Original giant 460 radiator that was professionally modified to work with the input and output of the 12 valve.
New Warn hubs up front, brand new rough country lift kit installed.
Linex truck bed.
Rear bench is from an early 90's Ford, original seats included.
Bright headlights.
Body has zero Bondo. One rust spot on cab that's pictured.
Frame is rust free.
New floor and dash carpet.
New Ultra Motorsports wheels and 35x12.5 r17 Toyo MT tires.
Axles are rebuilt and geared at 3.5 or 3.7. Perfectly geared with this motor, feels like a race truck and cruises at 80mph around 2k RPM. I recently drove it to Port Angeles from Spokane and averaged 19mpg driving near 80mph.
It's my wife's truck and she's decided she wants the creature comforts of a modern truck.
This truck is a pro list. The only things worth considering are as follows:
If we kept it, we planned to add a 10.25" rear axle and 1 ton suspension. (currently a 9" rear axle. Front is a Dana 44).
Heater was uninstalled to install the new carpet. We have the original heater ready to install, if you aren't interested in finding a vintage AC system like we were.
The firewall or clutch pedal assembly needs to be reinforced, the firewall flexes slightly when you disengage the clutch.
