I bought the truck in AZ in 2018, it was all original. There is surface rust on the body, the truck is from a dry climate and the frame is rust free. The idea was to build myself a driver with a bit of punch. I replaced the 350 with new custom built 454 4 bolt. Not too hot, bored 0.30 over slightly higher compression, I can send engine specs upon request. Rebuilt TH-400 Trans from monster transmission.
There was really too much done to list here, but we did the thing, everything under the hood is new. Pulled the body off replaced cab mounts, dropped both fuel tanks, replaced sending unit and hoses, resealed axels, basically either resealed or replaced everything on the truck. I can scan and email the build sheet if you’re serious but it is 22 pages.
Why am I selling it? Because I like to build things, run them for awhile, sell them and build other things. Expensive hobby, but I have fun with it.
Cosmetically nothing has been done other than painting the engine and compartment. I like it kind of gritty, but you could easily finish this truck and have a slick ride if that’s what you want.
