Vehicle Description
I want to say from the onset that unlike other car salesman I have dealt with, I will be completely forthright and honest about the condition of this vehicle. I will do my very best to describe and show through pictures and words the most accurate condition of the vehicle.
You are looking at a 1977 Oldsmobile Toronado XS Coupe with 80k original miles. This is the Oldsmobile counterpart to the Cadillac Eldorado. It is in overall good original condition. The title is in my name and it is currently garage kept. They only made 2700 of these in 1977 and I personally have only seen a handful for sale online in the past few years. It has many new parts including brakes, suspension components, and some engine components. What those are specifically I can’t tell you only because that information was held by the prior owner and I accidentally deleted that information.
It does show signs of age consistent with a 43 year old vehicle. The weatherstripping around the doors shows age; doesn’t leak though. The power lock actuates but the drivers side lock doesn’t lock/unlock. The fan speed doesn’t work on the highest setting and as far as I know the A/C does not work but I’m not sure since the the belt isn’t connected. It has a vacuum leak somewhere or needs the IAC valve on the carb adjusted since it runs well but seems a bit doggish at lower rpms. The driver’s seat has one cushion that has come undone. The passenger’s side has some sort of stain or something that makes a part of the fabric very stiff. There isn’t anything that is out of the ordinary for a 43 year old vehicle; in fact, it is in really good original condition for such an age!
