This is a Classic Mercedes450 SEL . This car has been in the same family for over 20 years. Always well cared for and parked indoors. Only driven in the summer and very few miles a year. The car only has 88,595 miles on it. Its only been driven 2000 miles a year since new. Has a V-8 gas engine and automatic transmission. This car has been maintained and serviced at the Mercedes dealer in Appleton, wisc. 2000 miles ago, at 86,744 miles the car had an extensive going over at the dealership. This included a full inspection and oil and filter. Spark plugs and tune up. New valve cover gaskets. A new exhaust system. The coolant was flushed and replaced. The brake fluid was flushed and replaced. The transmission fluid and filter was replaced. The power sunroof was rebuilt. Replaced rear axle seals. Front bearings were repacked and serviced with new seals. The driveshaft was replaced. The tires were replaced with new 205/70/14 Michelins. The starter was replaced. Rear brakes were replaced. This invoice for this visit to the MB dealer totaled $ 5,876.00 !!! At 86,985 miles the car went back to Bergstrom MB for a new turn signal switch. new door checks. Cruise control service, windshield washer pump, lubed window tracks. This invoice was $ 900.00. The car was also brought to a upholstery shop here to have the interior redone. This included front and rear seat covers. New carpet. new seat cushions. re dye center console. This repair order total was $ 3,099.00. This was $ 10,000.00 in restoration work done to the car in the last 2000 miles !!!. This car was sold new in Dallas, Texas . Has a few rust spots starting on the rear 1/4 panel and the lower door. The paint is over 40 years old, so is not perfect. Real solid underneath. Hasn't been driven in the winter. Glass and chrome trim is nice. Its a Classic. The elderly owner is not able to use it any more like it should be enjoyed. So we are looking for the next care taker for the car. Its a joy to drive. Have all the original books and warranty card. Receipts from service work, and clean title. This is a way to buy a well serviced, low mileage, Vintage Mercedes at a bargin price.
