Used 1972 VW Bus Hardtop Camper for sale in JBER, AK
Vehicle Description
I have rebuilt the carburetor and replaced the fuel lines going back to the tank, and the engine does run but needs tuning and adjustment. Rear brakes have been rebuilt, however one front caliper is sticking. The bus can be driven at low speeds but I don't recommend driving it home more than a mile or two. It is also not currently registered or insured.
The interior is in fair condition with all of the camping equipment in place. Driver's seat upholstery should be replaced, and the entire interior needs thorough cleaning. Inner and outer rockers are in poor condition along with the battery tray, however floors and windshield surround are solid. All of the doors open and close nicely, with the exception of the rear hatch, which is stuck closed.
Make no mistake, this is a project -- However the work that it needs in order to be usable is straightforward and simple. I was very pleased by the originality of this bus and at how well it drives, despite its needs.
