Used 1971 Triumph TR6 - cars & trucks - by dealer - vehicle automotive sale for sale in Branford, CT
Vehicle Description
This car was purchased new back in California in 1972. It moved in the late 90's/early 2000's to the middle of the country in the Illinois area and then migrated further east about 10-12 years ago to her current owner, the third owner.
The car was originally Jasmine Yellow however, the second owner had it painted in the Burgundy she now wears. The current owner fell in love with that color and had to have her. In the time he's owned her, he's done a bunch of work to the interior (new dash wood, new dash pad, carpeting, radio, rear mounted Blaupunkt speakers) and some stuff under bonnet as well, including new carbs and header/exhaust and a little further under the car, rebuilt calipers, new master cylinder, clutch master, new brake lines, new shocks. He purchased but didn't install several rubber bits for her, weather strip, seals, etc. They all come with the car. Also included are two tonneau covers and a boot cover.
The car runs great, drives great.. the 6 cylinder really moves the car nicely... The original engine still has only 60,000 miles on it.
The interior is in very good shape with no rips or tears and the seats have been set to fit those who may be up around 6' or more but can still accommodate those who are a bit less in stature. The top is in great condition and reportedly does not leak.
The paint is very shiny and the Burgundy does her well, although, once up close one can see some blemishes in the way of small chips, nicks and some prep marks/swirls if one looks very close.
Underneath she's rather solid too. There is some flaky paint scale corrosion on some of the frame rails but it's not rot. The floors are completely solid and original, there are two rot holes in the inner sill panels that have been treated with a rust inhibitor both outside and inside the sill.
She's a great driver that will give her new owner years of joy.
The current owner is moving and doesn't have room for her and he hasn't been able to enjoy her the way he used due to knee surgery.
Her slight flaws are easily overshadowed by her great attributes.
Asking price on her is just $13,500
Any questions, for many more photos and video, to schedule a time to see her, or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks for the interest.
