Used 1970 Chevrolet El Camino - Trade for Crew Cab? - - by for sale in South San Francisco, CA

Up for sale or trade is my daily driven 1970 Chevrolet El Camino in dark metallic garnet red over black vinyl, originally green mist w/ white vinyl top (very rare combo). Power steering, power brake, front disk car. 350ci GM vortec crate engine w/ Edelbrock power pack (intake & carb) & long tube headers to 3" with flowmaster mufflers. Suspension converted to Ridetech stage 2+ coilovers on all 4, Ridetech geometry correcting spindles, Ridetech upper & lower "strong arm" tubular control arms front & rear, triangulated 4 link in the rear, and Ridetech "MuscleBar" front & rear adjustable swaybars. The engine runs strong, doesn't leak, doesn't smoke, turbo 350 transmission shifts nice and crisp, steering is light and the truck feels extremely tight with the new suspension. Only rust anywhere is superficial/surface stuff. Over $10k in receipts alone including the professional Ridetech suspension install along with all steering linkage bits replaced, rear end & transmission seals gaskets & servicing, new throttle linkage & kickdown, carb rebuilt & ignition system overhaul including distributor rebuilt & scoped. The entire fuel system was replaced including tank, sending unit and all soft lines, brakes were serviced front & rear. Doesn't overheat, fires up hot or cold, not much left to do to make perfect. We've owned this '70 for about 10 years and I wouldn't hesitate to hop in and drive to LA tomorrow if needed. It's taken on my daily driving for about 3 years now (weekend cruiser before that) so I've done a lot of preventative maintenance to ensure her reliability before it was my only means of transportation. Having kids now forces me to move on to something with more space for the family. Current tags and clean title in hand.

WHAT IT NEEDS: Paint, polishing, and a stereo. She's a 10 footer and while she shines up pretty nice it needs a paint job. No rust holes or rust/bondo bubbles to deal with but the dark red garnet had paint adhesion failure on the top coat making some of it flake off or crack in some areas. It was touched up here and there over the years (look closely in the photos, back corners, driversbed side, etc) but ultimately she needs some sanding and a full respray to be "perfect". Bright work can use polishing, bumpers have some light pitting, etc. As she was my daily driver, giving her perfect paint wasn't the goal. The stereo was stolen from the elco over a decade ago and. honestly I never felt inclined to replace it. Didn't want to give folks a reason to break in again. The dash was cut to fit a single DIN unit prior to our ownership and wasn't broken during the theft surprisingly. When they broke in they chipped the driver side wing window and put a small dent in the bright work around the roll up window.

WANTED FOR TRADE: 1967-1974 Ford or Mercury Crew Cab Pickup truck. 2wd or 4wd, auto or manual, V8 or 6cyl, diesel or gas, conversions or customs, fleet/stepside/flat bed, anything goes. Paint can be bad or "patina" but please no major rust issues or smashed up body work and MUST BE ready to be driven. To me 'ready to be driven' means she starts, will restart, runs (without clouds of smoke), drives, shifts, can achieve highway speeds, stops, doesn't overheat or die constantly, and is currently registered & plated. My goal with the trade would be to move from one daily driven classic work truck to another without having downtime on being mobile.
