Used 1969 Volkswagon Bruce Meyers Tow'd Dune Buggy VW Project for sale in Lake Havasu City, AZ

Vehicle Description

This is a genuine, very complete 1969 Meyers Tow'd factory dune buggy kit vehicle. This project is in only fair condition and needs to be totally restored. It has not been started or driven for at least 10 years. Please note this Tow'd is one of the rare earliest first production old school kits, without hood or fenders, built in his California factory. This is built on it's own custom tube frame utilizing a light weight, (1/3 the weight of fiberglass) high impact one piece body formed of thermoformed ABS. An early fiberglass racing hood has been added. Over this vehicles approximately 40 years of use (mostly Glamis) the abs plastic has cracked/split in many places. It will need removal and plastic weld repairs made. Please study the many close up photos for body condition. It has an early 1964 1200 cc vw engine/4 speed trans with all components required to originally complete this kit. The original Meyers production tag is in the correct location. The exhaust is vintage shoemaker performance headers. Not pictured (but included) is a set of black vinyl -snap in seat cushions and an original ignition key. Sorry, but this Tow'd did not come with the original sliding, steering tube tow bar. A clear California title signed by the previous owner and bill of sale from me will be provided at time of sale.
