I purchased this car to restore as a California Bug, but got a line on a 1957 oval window bug that i would rather have.
This car is a 1968 with original motor #H5098457 and is only missing the drivers seat back.
It has a 12v system and generator does charge very well.
It has AC that will need some repair but does blow and is complete, not many AC bugs out there.
The car does run and drive, but will need some brake work and a few other things to make road worthy.
Has brand new rear tires, gas tank and battery.
Drivers window is complete but will need a little work to roll up.
The odometer reads 0527 but probably has turned over, it was on the road in 2013, but has been sitting ever since.
Have several new parts that go with the car, new blinker assembly, brake shoes, horn in the box. A replacement rear window, wing window and new window gaskets.
I have a clean Texas blue title in hand.
Comes with a catalog with almost every VW part, fairly inexpensive.
I haven't had the car very long at all, but will do my best to answer any questions you may have.
