beauty of it is that it runs and drives, take it home to your lair and give it the love it needs.
have photos of the bottom and it is quite rust free, the body has abit of surface rust, mostly on parts which can be bolted on and off, trunk fender. interior a little sad but supplied with headliner in a bag.
for easier service the twin carb have been updated to the easy performance of a Weber 2 bbl downdraft.
i have it stuck in my barn for now so take a look make an offer. its a consignment to me from an old guy who cant deal with it anymore. i get paid the same no matter what you offer, if he accepts your offer.
Volvo introduced the PV544 in 1958.
This 1961 model has the "thermometer" style speedometer. The red strip shows the speed.
This car is in really good condition. It's got excellent bones. No rot that we can find. The body has that aged patina to it and its got a brand new fuel tank.
The major change to the PV544 took place in 1961 when the famous 'B18' engine was installed under the bonnett. This car has that historic power plant and it's coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox.
This is the first year of the 12 volt electrical system.
These cars were quite popular as ralley vehicles in their day.
