Used 1959 Cadillac Sedan De Ville: Price Reduced for sale in Jackson, MI
Vehicle Description
This 1959 Cadillac Sedan De Ville was restored in 1992 to 1993 by a classic-car body shop. The car has seen limited use since that restoration and was stored in a heated warehouse until early 2018.
Before starting, a qualified mechanic drained the gas and installed a new gas tank. The gas lines were cleaned and replaced as needed. The fuel pump was replaced and the carburetor was rebuilt. The engine oil was changed with a new filter, the compression checked, followed by new plugs and points and a heavy duty battery. The water pump was rebuilt with new upper and lower hoses and new antifreeze. The car is in running condition, but needs some additional tinkering. The odometer shows 73, 600 miles.
This “six window” Sedan De Ville has the 390 cubic inch V-8 with Hydra-Matic transmission, drum brakes front and rear, coil springs, power steering and power brakes. The white sidewall (not wide banded) radial tires were new before 2009, as was the spare. It has the original radio, power windows, standard door locks, heater/defroster, provision for a power antenna, flip-down ash trays with cigarette lighters, standard side mirror, rearview mirror and electric clock. Some of these accessories do not work, but the mechanic told us light corrosion on electric terminals appears to be the problem. The horn ring is broken, but we have the pieces.
