Vehicle Description
Starts and technically runs but has a transmission issue. I would highly recommend towing over driving away. *there is a check engine light for code P0328 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit High (Bank 1)* the code happened after replacing the old knock sensor with a new one.
I didn't get an in depth diagnostic but torque converter replacement was the suggested repair. I don't want to do the repairs necessary to get the car in working condition again.
I have taken excellent care of this car mechanically over the years. Changed the oil every 4000-4500 miles pre 120k miles and right around 3000-3500 miles with high mileage oil ever since.
I have done most repairs myself.
Most recent:
Battery - replaced 2 months ago
Serpentine belt - replaced 2 months ago
PCV valve- replaced around 3 months ago
Knock sensor - replaced around 3 months ago.
Fuel injector o-rings replaced around 3 months ago
Rear suspension - replaced at around 120k miles
Front suspension - upper & lower control arms, and sway bar links - replaced at around 105k-110k miles
Front suspension - both struts and shock absorbers completely replaced at 90-95k miles
Valve cover gasket - replaced around 90k miles
Defects :
- chipped paint on hood
- dent on hood
- Cracks in front bumper plastic piece with Mazda emblem (these all happened after bumping a Honda CR-V at 10-15 mph in yield lane)
Burn hole in driver and passenger seats (existed when I bought the car in 2008. I HAVE NOT SMOKED IN THE CAR SINCE OWNING IT)
