Vehicle Description
Absolutely ZERO Rust. Actually none. I bought it for the sole reason that it was rust free and these trucks are hard to come by in that condition. As it sits I have over $10k into the truck in a little over two years. Not including the price of it.
October of 2018 I bought it and since then:
-fluid film undercoating for the past 2 winters( not the rubberized stuff that hides rust) last year I used black wool wax.
-Entire truck except roof, trunk, rear bumper. Has been repainted professionally by a dealership body shop. Not a small mom and pop shop. Maybe 3 or 4 dings on the entire truck.
Every ‘Denali’ molding is in good condition and also painted to match.
-suspension is new with the exception of pitman and idler arm which I have. Including rear air delete with Moog coil springs. New KYB shocks. Tie rods. Steering Gearbox. Links.
-new brakes on 4 corners in May 2020.
-new carpet (changed to black)
-new OEM floor mats
-HD hood conversion from a Silverado trimmed to fit and repainted.
-brand new 17” vision D window wheels with new continental terrain contacts
-tinted windows plus windshield strip
- new GM accessory wood grain steering wheel
-new fuel pump 2020
-air raid intake
-new alternator 2020 with battery
-
It needs:
sunroof (leaks from torn rubber) I have it duct taped
Pitman and idler arm replaced
May need front brakes again soon
Front bumper and fender painted (hit a deer last winter)
Check engine light on for Evap code
Power steering whines
My plan was to complete the interior and have it reupholstered as the seats and headliner are in rough shape
This is a labor of love and I will not entertain lowball offers. This is a truck for someone that wants a near perfect example of a classic GMC truck and wants to finish it or drive it as is. The truck is old but pulls fantastic. GM 6.0 is a workhorse motor, tranny shifts perfect. AC and heat work. All fluids were changed when I bought it. Oil religiously changed. No expenses spared with parts. I’m sure I’m forgetting something. I’ll answer questions but please don’t waste my time or yours.
