Vehicle Description
selling 01 dodge. 24 valve Cummins. Needs some parts replaced such as outer tie rods, drag link end, left upper and lower ball joint. Has leaking valve cover, timing cover, rear pinion output shaft seal. Also needs the clutch upgraded, such as a southbend dual disk clutch rated for over 400 hp and around 1000 torque.
About 3 years ago before moving here from Iowa, I had a lot of work done to the truck to increase power and mileage, such as:
New hx40w turbo, 60 horse Bosch injectors, fass 165, edge juice w/attitude cts2 programmer, head was removed and gone through and arp studded, 5 inch exhaust turbo back, 3 piece exhaust manifold, s&b cold air intake, and I had a b&w turn over ball installed. New brakes all around, suspension and steering was all redone as well. Bushwhacker flares were added, and the window tint. New electric heated towing mirrors also, p side is cracked now. Has a deezee tool chest/100 gallon transfer tank combo in bed. It isn't tied to the system but I used it to carry additional fuel. Holds lots of tools too.
There are probably other upgrades I can't remember for sure. I towed a 31 ft holiday rambler alumalite 5th wheel up from Iowa, gobs of power and much better economy.
I haven't driven the truck in 1.5 years as I have a daily driver and with 4 surgeries in past 1+ year its hard to drive with my knees and shoulder. I decided to sell it, so a few weeks ago I had new tires put on, new bilstein shocks all around, 2 new batteries, when they did the shocks they found the tie rod and other worn parts.
With the upgraded motor it overpowers the clutch even though it was new about 5 years ago. It drives fine as is, but when you use too much throttle it will slip.
