1989 Corvette Roadster with rare factory hardtop, ZF 6 speed manual transmission. 61,500 miles. Red exterior on black interior.

I am the third owner of this car having purchased it 2016, in Sun City California. The first owner purchased the car in Manhattan Beach California and had the car for less than 8 months. (his government engineering contract got cancelled) The second owner held onto this Corvette for approximately 26 years and put 51k miles on the clock. It was kept in a garage, under cover always.

I brought the car here to Michigan when I relocated 2 years ago. Its been garage kept the entire time I’ve owned it. This is the maintenance I’ve done, starting with the most recent:

BFG SportComp-2 tires, brake master cylinder, braided stainless steel brake lines at each corner, Bosch battery, water pump, headlights, alternator, spark plugs, wires, cap & rotor, EGR valve, O2 sensor, IAC, Bosch flow-matched injectors, in-tank fuel pump and filter, external fuel filter, heater core, aluminum radiator, clutch master cylinder, rebuilt headlight motors with new nylon gears, interior courtesy lights (LED), door window seals, new hardtop headliner, high flow catalytic converter, cat-back MagnaFlow stainless exhaust system, trans and diff fluid replaced.

Personally, I think that 1989 is the sweet spot for the C4 – it’s the first year of the ZF 6 speed, and the last year of the digital “Atari” interior. In it’s 31 years it has never been in an accident and still wears its original paint with the period perfect “HeartBeat” pinstripes. (purportedly done by noted Pin-Striper Bob Bonds)

The car is in very good condition and everything works as it should. The soft top is in excellent condition. This car was in the 2017 SoCal RadWood , and 2019 Detroit RadWood carshows!
